| 10/16/2007 - The Flint River Baptist Association voted at their Annual Meeting on Monday, October 15 to sell Skipstone the Flint River Baptist Camp property. Mr. Truett Cathy, founder of the Chick-fil-A Corporation, made the purchase possible with a very generous donation to Skipstone. We would like to thank everyone for your prayers and support throughout the process of aquiring a home for Skipstone. God has shown Himself mighty and we are so humbled at His goodness and grace. |
| 10/17/2007 - Skipstone's first meeting of the Board of Directors has been tentatively set for Sunday, November 4th from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the Camp Dining Hall. Dinner will be served promptly at 6:30pm. Board members are encouraged to arrive early for an informal time of fellowship & encouragement. Please RSVP to chipmoody@bellsouth.net |

| 12/31/07 - Praise the Lord! Skipstone officially closed on the property today at 11:30 am. This is truly an answer to prayer and the realization of a vision that God planted in our hearts nearly twenty years ago. 2008 promises to be an exciting year as we began nearly $250,000 of repairs and updgrades. Be sure to check out our summer camp pages and pick your favorite week. Applications will be available online soon and our new brochure will be mailed in the next couple of weeks! |

| 1/7/08 - Construction has begun this week. The old entrance has been demolished and preparation is under way for the construction of the new Skipstone entrance. |
| 1/7/08 - Most of our pine trees are have either matured or are being overtaken by beetles. Starting today, most of these trees are being harvested. Things will really begin to look a lot different around here in the coming weeks. A special thanks to Vaughn's Tree Service and Cox Timber for helping us take care of this. |
| 1/13/08 - We arrived early this morning from Las Vegas where we purchased the new Skipstone bus. It's a great bus, formerly owned by the United States Air Force. The ride home was extremely long, but really very beautiful. We drove through ten states and thoroughly enjoyed seeing some of God's beautiful creations that we had never seen before! |
